The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is investigating the drug case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, is preparing to interrogate many big actresses of Bollywood. According to sources, the agency can also interrogate Deepika Padukone.
The NCB made a list of summons, who will be called for interrogation. According to NCB sources, the agency will send the summons to Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor this week. Apart from this, actresses Karisma, Simone, Rakul Preet, and Namrata Shirodkar, and Deepika Padukone will also be questioned.
On the question of Deepika Padukone being questioned, a source attached to the NCB said, “We will first question Karishma and then if needed, Deepika Padukone will be called.” Deepika is currently shooting in Goa. However, the sources also made it clear that they will first interrogate Karishma.
The Investigation Agency (NCB), which is investigating this high-profile drug case, is questioning people on a large scale. In this sequence, NCB has summoned four people including the CEO of KWAN Company Dhruv Chitgopekar. Jaya Saha and Shruti Modi will also be called for questioning. NCB will interrogate all these on Tuesday, 22nd September.
Today, the judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty is also coming to an end today. According to NCB sources, the investigating agency has sought to extend their custody.
Just to inform you that Jaya Saha, the talent manager of Sushant Singh Rajput, also appeared before the NCB on Monday. NCB had asked former actresses Shruti Modi and Jaya Saha to appear in the agency’s office on Monday. On September 16, the questioning of Shruti Modi was postponed after a member of the NCB Special Investigation Team was infected with the coronavirus.
At the same time, the name of a filmmaker has also been revealed in the investigation of NCB. His name is Madhu Mantena Varma. His chat with Jaya Shah has surfaced. NCB can now call them for questioning.
The NCB has so far arrested more than a dozen people in the this case, including actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty. Meanwhile, a senior official of the investigating agency said that the NCB is going to summon Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and fashion designer Simone Khambata for questioning in connection with the drug case related investigation.
Actress Rakul Preet Singh moved the Delhi High Court last week and demanded a moratorium on media reports linking her to the Rhea Chakraborty drug case. She said that the leak of information to the media needs to be investigated as such news can completely tarnish someone’s image. The High Court on Thursday sought a response from the Center on their petition.
