The domestic stock market opened on Tuesday with weakness. The Sensex broke over 350 points and the Nifty also lost more than 100 points. The trading trend in the Indian stock market remains weak after the global market declined in the previous session. The Sensex was trading at 37,677.85, down 356.29 points, or 0.94 percent, from the previous session at 9.47 am.
The Nifty was at 11,127.15, down by 123.40 points, or 1.10 percent, from the previous session. The 30-share of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex opened with a gain of 166.57 points at 38,200.71 and climbed to 38,209.97 from the previous session but soon fell to 37,662.07.
The Sensex had dropped 812 points in the previous session. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty, a major sensitive index based on 50 stocks, opened with a gain of 51.20 points at 11,301.75 from the previous session and climbed to 11,302.20 but then slipped to 11,107.35 under selling pressure.
